Questions, answered.
What actually happens when someone gets banned?
A banned account can no longer send messages or join communities. That is the entire punishment. You keep access to your account, every message you ever sent, and the DMs you received, unless the sender has removed them. You can export your data or delete your account at any point, ban or no ban.
Are my direct messages really private?
Yes. Direct messages are private: in the app, only the people in the conversation see them, and as a matter of policy our staff do not read private conversations. Connections are encrypted in transit with TLS. Community channels are visible to their community and its moderators, because moderators need to be able to keep public spaces safe.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, at any time. Deleting your account anonymizes it: your name and profile are removed, and the messages you already sent stay in their conversations attributed to a deleted, anonymous user, so other people's conversations stay intact. Channels keep only a bounded window of recent messages, so older content ages out over time. Export your data first if you want a copy.
Is Vronify.chat free?
Creating an account, joining communities, and running a server are free. We will offer optional extras for power users and large communities later, but core features stay free. No surprise paywalls.
Can I move my community over from another platform?
Yes. Set up your channels and roles in minutes, share one invite link, and your members can join from any browser without installing anything. Migration tooling for importing structure from other platforms is on the roadmap.

Yes. Vronify.chat is built for the web first, so your members join with a link and nothing to install. It works on desktop and mobile browsers, and stays fast on both. Native mobile and desktop apps are on the way too.
