Familiar where it should be. Better where it matters.
Channels, roles, voice, and moderation, built into one fast platform that stays out of your way. This page walks through what you get on day one, how the pieces fit together, and what is coming next.
Six foundations. One platform.
Everything below ships with every server, free, the moment you create it. Each card links to a deeper page if you want the full story.

More about customizationMessaging, in detail.
A community is made of messages. So we obsessed over every part of one.
Every message on Vronify.chat travels over a persistent WebSocket connection, which is why the median delivery time in Europe sits under 40 milliseconds. There is no polling delay and no refresh button. When someone types, you see it. When someone sends, it lands. That speed is not a vanity metric: it is what makes a text channel feel like a conversation instead of a message board.
Edits let you fix a typo or sharpen a point without deleting and reposting, so the thread of conversation stays intact. Replies quote the message you are answering, which means context survives even in a channel moving at hundreds of messages an hour. Reactions let twenty people agree without twenty near-identical messages. Read receipts tell you a message actually reached someone, which matters when you are coordinating something that has a deadline.
For conversations that deserve their own space, threads branch a tangent off the main channel so the side discussion can run as long as it needs to without burying everyone else. Pinned messages keep the rules, the schedule, or the announcement where newcomers will actually find it. Polls settle questions with a count instead of a shouting match. And bookmarks give you a private place to save the messages you will want again, without asking anyone's permission.
Expression scales with your community too. Custom emoji give your server its own vocabulary, and server tags let members show which communities they belong to. None of this costs anything, and none of it is gated behind a tier.
Where direct messages are different
One honest distinction is worth understanding before you rely on it. Direct messages are private: only the people in the conversation see them, and we don't read them. Community channels are deliberately visible to their community and its moderators, because a public space needs accountable moderation, and moderators cannot keep a space safe if the platform itself is blind to it. We think that split is the right one, and we would rather explain it plainly than pretend one label covers everything. What never changes in either place: we never sell data, never show ads, and never read private conversations.
When channels get busy
Fast channels create their own problems, so the tools to slow them down are built in. Slow mode puts a cooldown between messages per member, which turns a flood into a conversation during launches, drama, or raid attempts. Automated filters catch the obvious garbage before a human moderator ever has to see it. Both are configured per server by people you appointed, not by us. The moderation tools page covers the full kit.
From empty server to living community.
The features above are the parts. Here is the order most owners assemble them in.
Create your server
One click, live in under a minute. Vronify.chat is browser-first, so there is nothing to download and nothing for your future members to install either. Name it, give it an icon, done.
Give it structure
Group channels into categories so the layout explains itself: a place for announcements, a place for general talk, a place for the topic you exist for. Pin the rules and the welcome message where people land first. Structure you set up now saves moderation work later.
Set up roles and guardrails
Create roles with exactly the permissions each group needs, and nothing more. Turn on slow mode where you expect heat, add automated filters for the obvious stuff, and let the audit log record every administrative action so decisions stay accountable.
Open the doors
Share a one-link invite anywhere: it works in a browser, no account gymnastics required. If you want strangers to find you, list your server on the Explore page and let discovery do the rest.
If you are doing this for the first time, the create a server guide walks through every step with more detail, the roles and permissions page explains the permission model properly, and the owner handbook collects the lessons other owners learned the hard way.
Here today. Coming soon.
We would rather tell you exactly what is live than blur the line with marketing tense. This is the split, honestly drawn.

The one to watch is the bot engine: automation that lives inside the platform instead of being bolted on by a third party. No bot to invite, no token to babysit, no stranger's server to trust with your community's data. It is one switch in your server settings, and it is close. Until it and the native apps arrive, everything works today in any modern browser, on any device, with one link.
Features are easy. Fast features are hard.
A feature list means nothing if the platform underneath is slow, flaky, or watching you. Ours is none of those.
Every feature answers to two rules.
Your privacy and your ownership come first. Everything on this page was built inside those constraints, not around them.
Rule one: we do not look
Direct messages are private: in the app, only the people in the conversation see them. We do not read your DMs, and we designed the product around that policy on purpose. Beyond that, the whole platform runs with zero trackers, zero ads, and zero data brokers. We never sell data and we never read private conversations. If that sounds like a marketing line, read the privacy page and the privacy policy: they say the same thing in more words, because it is true in more words.
Rule two: your account is yours
Most platforms treat a ban as an erasure: account gone, history gone, DMs gone, years of conversations held hostage. We think that is wrong, so account ownership works differently here. A ban only stops participation. You keep your account, every message you ever sent, and the DMs you received, unless the sender chose to remove them. The choice to leave is just as much yours: you can delete your account at any time, which anonymizes it, and you can export your data any time, for any reason, without asking.
Why this shapes the features
These rules have teeth. They are why read receipts and message logs exist inside servers but nothing equivalent exists inside DMs. They are why moderation tools are powerful in public channels, where accountability matters, and absent in private ones, where privacy does. They are why data export is a button rather than a support ticket. When a proposed feature conflicts with one of the two rules, the feature changes, not the rule. The security page covers how we protect the infrastructure all of this runs on.
It does not stop here.
We ship new features every week, and everything that lands gets written down in public.
The list above is what you get the moment you create a server. It is not the ceiling. The changelog keeps a public record of every release, and the blog explains the thinking behind the bigger ones. If speed is what you care about, read how we keep the whole thing fast on the performance page.
There is no template or white-label product underneath any of this. Vronify.chat was hand-written by a small team in the Netherlands, from zero lines of code to over 125.000, and it runs on hardware we own and tune ourselves. That is why features here tend to work the same way top to bottom: the people who built the messaging layer are the same people who built the moderation tools on top of it, and the same people who answer when something breaks.
On pricing, the promise is simple and it applies to everything on this page: core features are free forever. Optional extras for power users will come later, and there will be no surprise paywalls. We will not launch a feature as free and then quietly move it behind a tier. If a limitation exists, you will read about it here first, in plain language, like the privacy split above.
Questions about features.
Is everything on this page available right now?
Everything except the items explicitly marked coming soon: the bot engine and the native mobile and desktop apps. The rest, from messaging and voice to roles, discovery, and customization, is live in every server today. When something new ships, it appears in the changelog the same day.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Vronify.chat is browser-first: the full platform, including voice channels, runs in a modern browser with nothing to download. Invites are one link, so the people you invite do not need to install anything either. A mobile app for iOS and Android and a desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux are coming soon for people who prefer a native window.
What does all of this cost?
Core features are free forever. That includes everything described on this page: messaging, voice, moderation, discovery, and customization. Optional extras for power users will arrive later, but nothing currently free will move behind a paywall, and there will be no surprise ones. We do not show ads and we do not sell data, so you are not paying with your privacy either.
How large can a server actually get?
A single server supports more than fifty thousand members. The moderation features are built for that scale: granular roles keep permissions manageable, slow mode keeps busy channels readable, automated filters absorb the noise, and the audit log keeps every staff action accountable. The performance page explains how delivery stays fast as servers grow.
Are my messages private?
Direct messages are private, so only the people in the conversation see them and we don't read them. Community channels are not private, deliberately, so that the moderators you chose can keep public spaces safe. In both cases we never sell data, never show ads, and never read private conversations. The full picture is on the privacy page.
What happens to my messages if I am banned from a server?
A ban only stops participation in that community. Your account survives, every message you ever sent survives, and the DMs you received survive unless the sender removed them. If you ever want the opposite, you can delete your account at any time, which anonymizes it. And you can export your data any time. The details are on the account ownership page.
Can I bring bots from other platforms?
No, and that is deliberate: we do not run third-party bot code inside servers, which is how we can promise no external party can read your channels or take your automation offline. Instead, automation comes from the built-in bot engine, coming soon, with welcome cards, custom commands, reaction roles, leveling, tickets, and more. If it is missing something your community needs, tell us and it goes on the roadmap.
