The wordmark.
Light weight for vronify, bold for .chat. Always together, always lowercase.
The wordmark is typeset, not drawn. It is two words treated as one unit: vronify in a light weight, .chat in bold, no space between them, always lowercase. The weight contrast is the identity. If you reproduce the wordmark, reproduce both weights; setting the whole thing in one weight turns our name into ordinary text.
Clear space and minimum size
Give the wordmark room to breathe. Keep clear space around it on every side that is at least the height of the wordmark itself, free of other logos, text, and busy imagery. There is no fixed pixel minimum, but there is a simple test: if the wordmark is smaller than the body text sitting next to it, it is too small. Scale it up or leave it out.
Backgrounds
The wordmark works on Paper (white), Mist, and Periwinkle Soft in Ink. On Ink or other dark backgrounds, set it in white and keep both weights. Avoid placing it over photographs or gradients where the letterforms lose contrast; if you must, put it on a quiet area of the image and check that both the light and bold parts stay readable.
The icon
Alongside the wordmark we use a compact icon: a white V on a Deep Periwinkle rounded square. You will see it as our favicon and app icon. The same rules apply: do not recolor it, do not restyle it, and do not adopt it as the icon for your own project, extension, or community. It identifies us, not things built near us.
The colors.
Periwinkle carries the brand. Ink and paper do the reading.
How the palette splits the work
Periwinkle (#7C85FF) is the brand accent. It marks what is interactive or highlighted: links, active states, and small moments of emphasis. It is a seasoning, not a base. Deep Periwinkle (#5A63E8) is the working version of the accent: it carries hover states, accent text on light backgrounds, and the icon square, wherever the lighter tone would not hold enough contrast.
Ink (#0B0C14) is our near-black. It does all the reading: headlines, body text, and dark surfaces. Mist (#F5F6FB) is the quiet background that separates sections without shouting. Periwinkle Soft (#EEF0FF) tints surfaces that should feel branded but stay calm, like highlighted panels and pills.
Contrast rules worth keeping
Never set body copy in Periwinkle on Mist or Periwinkle Soft; the contrast is too low for comfortable reading. Use Ink for text on light backgrounds, and white for text on Ink. If you are referencing our brand in your own material, use the palette for accents and framing, not as a full recolor of your design: a swatch of Periwinkle next to the wordmark says more than a page flooded with it.
Naming, writing, and boilerplate.
How to write our name in running text, and copy you can lift word for word.
Two names, two jobs. Vronify is the company: a small team in the Netherlands. Vronify.chat is the product: the community chat platform this site is about. In running text, capitalize the V and keep the rest lowercase, with no space before or after the dot. The all-lowercase form belongs to the wordmark only.
One sentence
Vronify.chat is a privacy-first community chat platform, built in the Netherlands, where your account and your messages actually belong to you.
One paragraph
Vronify.chat is a community chat platform built in the Netherlands by Vronify. It runs in the browser with nothing to install, direct messages are private, and there are no trackers, ads, or data brokers. The platform was hand-written from zero to over 125.000 lines of code, with no template underneath, and runs on hardware the team owns and tunes itself. Core features are free forever.
Both blocks are pre-approved: you can quote them verbatim in articles, directories, videos, and app roundups without asking. If you shorten or rework them, keep the claims intact. Say that DMs are private, not that everything is; community channels are visible to their community and its moderators, so public spaces stay safe. That honesty matters to us, and getting it right matters more than a tidier sentence. More background lives on the about page and in privacy at Vronify.
Numbers you may quote.
These figures are published by us and safe to cite, with the qualifiers shown.
The rules.
Short list, honestly enforced. The theme of every rule is the same: do not mislead people about who we are or who you are.
Please do
- Use the wordmark as one unit, lowercase, with both weights
- Give it clear space on any background
- Use the periwinkle palette when referencing the brand
- Link back to vronify.chat when you mention us
- Show the real product in screenshots and videos, unedited
- Say your community is on Vronify.chat, with your name leading
Please do not
- Stretch, recolor, or add effects to the wordmark
- Split vronify from .chat or change the weights
- Imply partnership or endorsement without asking
- Use the brand on anything that misleads users
- Put Vronify first in your project, community, or domain name
- Adopt our wordmark or icon as your own avatar or app icon
Why so few rules? Because most people who reach this page are trying to help: a journalist covering us, a creator recording a tutorial, an owner promoting their community. We would rather make the correct thing easy than bury it under a fifty-page manual. The trade-off is that we take the short list seriously, especially the last rule. Anything that uses our brand to mislead people, fake endorsement, phish, or impersonate us gets a fast response.

Common situations, handled.
The uses we get asked about most, and what applies to each.
Press and reviews
Editorial use needs no permission. Quote the boilerplate, cite the published numbers with their qualifiers, and use the wordmark to identify us. We appreciate a link back, and we answer press questions at press@vronify.chat.
Videos and streams
Record the product freely: tutorials, walkthroughs, reactions, comparisons. Show the interface as it really is, without edits that fake features or messages. Blur usernames of people who did not agree to appear.
Promoting your community
Tell the world your server lives here. Lead with your community's name and say it is on Vronify.chat. One-link invites make joining easy, and the Owner Handbook covers the rest of growing a server.
Tutorials and screenshots
Screenshots of the real interface are always fine, in blog posts, guides, courses, and documentation. Do not mock up fake interfaces that look like ours, and do not present a modified screenshot as the genuine product.
Directories and comparisons
Listing Vronify.chat in an app directory or comparison table is welcome. Use the wordmark unmodified, keep the facts current, and check our own comparison page for how we describe the differences ourselves.
Merch and events
Stickers, shirts, event banners, conference slides that go beyond citing us: these need a yes from us first. Send a mockup to press@vronify.chat. We are a small team and the answer is usually quick, and usually yes.
Not covered? Here is how to ask.
No forms, no legal maze. A short email settles almost everything.
Check this page first
Most uses are already answered above. If your case matches the rules and the common situations, you do not need to ask: go ahead and follow them.
Mock it up
A rough screenshot, sketch, or one-line description is enough. We need to see where the wordmark sits, what surrounds it, and what a reader might conclude from it.
Email the brand team
Send it to press@vronify.chat with what you are making, where it will appear, and for how long. We read everything and we answer quickly; when in doubt, we say what would make it a yes.
Ship it
Once we confirm, you are set. Keep the confirmation for your records, and if the use changes materially later, a new context or a new format, check back in. Same address, same fast answer.
Brand questions, answered.
Do you have logo files I can download?
The wordmark is typeset, not drawn, so for most uses you can reproduce it directly: lowercase, light weight for vronify, bold for .chat, no space. If you need production files, a specific size, or the icon for print or video, email press@vronify.chat and tell us the format you need. We will send you what fits your use.
Can I show Vronify.chat in a video, stream, or article without asking?
Yes. Editorial and educational use, including reviews, tutorials, news coverage, and comparisons, never needs permission. Show the real product, keep quoted facts accurate, and use the wordmark to identify us rather than to suggest we made or endorsed your content. A link back to vronify.chat is appreciated but not required.
Can I put Vronify in the name of my community, tool, or domain?
Describe, do not lead. Design Weekly, on Vronify.chat works; Vronify Design Weekly does not, because it reads as if we run it. The same goes for products and domains: names and addresses that start with or center on Vronify make people assume an official connection. If you think your case is an exception, ask us before you register anything.
Which backgrounds can the wordmark sit on?
Ink on Paper, Mist, or Periwinkle Soft; white on Ink or other dark, quiet backgrounds. Keep the two weights in both cases. Avoid photographs, gradients, and patterns that fight the letterforms, and keep clear space around the wordmark at least as tall as the wordmark itself.
Can I print the wordmark on merch for my community?
Ask first. Merch travels without its context, so we look at each case: what the item is, how the wordmark appears, and whether anything on it could read as official. Send a mockup to press@vronify.chat. We are a small team, the answer comes quickly, and community merch that follows the rules usually gets a yes.
Which numbers about Vronify.chat am I allowed to cite?
The ones we publish, with their qualifiers: under 40ms median message delivery in Europe, 99.9% uptime across the last 12 months, over 50k members supported in a single server, zero trackers, ads, or data brokers, and a codebase hand-written from zero to over 125.000 lines. The qualifiers matter; median in Europe is not a global guarantee, and we would rather you quote us precisely than generously. Details live on the performance page.
What happens if someone misuses the brand?
For honest mistakes, we email you and ask for a fix; that resolves nearly every case. Impersonation, fake endorsement, and phishing are different: uses of our name or wordmark that mislead users get escalated fast. If you spot misuse, report it to support, or to vulnerability disclosure if it is part of a security issue.
